Bansky's Kate

We all can count on Kate. I just wanted a break from the Lindsey/Marilyn photo shoot hype. Enjoy! Images courtesy of Bansky

A Deluge of Jackets

What a spectacular showing of outerwear today in Paris. I sat mesmerized this evening by the frocks of Kris Van Assche, Loewe, Yohji Yamamoto, and Balenciaga. I imagine sinking into the rich textures and sharp silhouettes and keeping shelter in each one all winter.

Japanese streetwear label, Theater8, hooks up with Crown Jewel and Annie Leibovitz for a series of tees, well, of course, available only in Japan. Since I won't be able to rock the tees, I pulled one of my favorite issues of Vogue for a Leibovitz celebration of my own.

On My Mind

Pullover hoodies do not look good on anyone. So, I never had an urge to wear anything but a zip-up. Today I stumbled upon the ideal pullover by Austrian designer Claudia Rose Lukas available on Soup and Fish. The open back construction and chain detailing make this hoodie pop with originality.

Elle March 2002

In 2002 Julien Macdonald was designing for Givenchy, Phoebe for Chloe, and Milan Vukmirovic for Jil Sander. All the brands have new designers today. Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy has added sharp tailoring to the label's grace and elegance. Newcomer Paulo Melim Andersson at Chloe looks back to Lagerfeld for inspiration. Raf Simons battled the politics of fashion to bring ingenuity to Jil Sander again. Looking back at the 6 year old issue I almost forgot about Macdonald's stint, completely forgot about the Vukmirovic guy, and only hope Chloe will beg Phoebe back.

Found these sneaks by Cookie7 while browsing Yes Style. I love the simple designs, and the artful details. Based out of Hong Kong, the site offers free international shipping over $150. I'll just have to buy all three.

I Heart NY Magazine

NY Magazine's Shop-A-Matic shops the streets of New York City for you. The magazine will find the hottest hats, lingerie, or sneakers (the current excursion) at every price point. I love using it on the days my legs are itching to walk down Broadway.

Jil Sander Fall 2008

I have always loved Jil Sander, and I always will. I love the way I feel when I scroll through Raf Simon's Fall 2008 for Jil.

On My Mind

I am tired of winter. Let me rephrase that...I am tired of winter in Chicago. It's that time of February when I don't see an end to gray skies or freezing temperatures. What could help? If I were witness to fresh winter outerwear on a daily basis. Is it that hard to find in this city? It may be if it's all in Japan. Winter outerwear from Japanese street wear label Devilock.

Reminder Alarm

If you are lucky enough to be in L.A, NYC, or Japan today, swing by the world's most famous skate shop, Supreme. The stores release their second colabo with North Face. Guarantee sell-out.

House Of Holland Fall 2008

Agyness ending the House of Holland show in plaid antlers lead me to grab a 6 year old illustration drawn by my sister out of it's storage box. I don't think it will be going back in for a while.

Aquascutum Fall 2008

Peter Sellers wore an Aquascutum trench as Inpsector Clouseau.

Established in 1851 Aquascutum London brought on Graeme Fidler and Michael Herz to head a fashion forward branch of the brand to give the Aquasutum name new life. It worked. The seasons since the debut have been full of brilliant colors, sharp shapes and new proportions. The duo blends these new elements with the label's rich history of innovative fabrics, such as water-repellent cotton, wools and silks. No longer dowdy, Aquascutum presents whimsical collections which will never go out of style.

Christopher Kane Fall 2008

I hear all of fashion-world talking about Christopher Kane and his paillettes. And how could they not talk.....it was breathtaking!
