It takes some getting used to the fashion calendar. Spring collections show at the start of fall and fall shows kick off the spring months. As backwards as it may seem, the flip-flop schedule is the perfect inspiration for the season we happen to be enduring.
The collections of the SS2013 season are especially loaded with transitional pieces and fresh trends to take us straight to the double digits BELOW zero.
And although these layering, staple, or statement pieces will not be available until months from now. We can't stop our memory from perusing our closets for similar shapes and silhouettes to wear today.
The designers below sent my favorite transitional looks, injecting a spring into my step this winter.
